Five teams of aspiring entrepreneurs presented their innovative business plans during the Grand Finale of the A2 Challenge, which took place on tuesday the 30th of August in De Waag in Amsterdam. This year’s winner of the A2 Challenge is team ‘Crowdriding,’ led by Martin Voorzanger. But team ‘Ideedock’, led by Pepijn de Visscher, also found a way of inspiring the critical jury, therefore they earned the title ‘runner-up’.
Each team had to present an innovative, original and clear bussiness plan. In order to win the prize they needed to convince a jury. The jury consisted out of Roel van Summeren (Philips), Jelto Smits (Prime Ventures), Jasper Levink (Ttopstart) and Bart Fisscher (Accenture). Afterwards, the jury complimented all teams on their great teamspirit and on the high-quality contents of the bussiness plans. Nevertheless, ‘Crowdriding’s’ concept was considered to be the best, because it has a “clear and staged to-do market strategy in a sizeable market.” (Roel v. Summeren)
For the audience there were also enough ingredients for an enjoyable evening out. Of course they could, and were, inspired by the ambitions of the participating entrepreneurs. Besides this, both Tienko Rasker and last year’s winner Boudewijn Docter (Effect Photonics) didn’t feel at all objected to share some of their experiences and knowledge with the crowd. Next year young dreamers will have another chance, during the A2 Challenge 2012.
